Holistic Therapy

GUIDING YOU ON THE WILD JOURNEY OF LIFE

Individual therapy for high-achievers, creatives, therapists, healers, mothers, & new parents
Supporting you into a more full & aligned life

WHO I WORK WITH

Does this sound like you?

PERFECTIONISM, POOR BOUNDARIES, NOT SPEAKING UP

I help clients reprioritize themselves & find their own voice.

Do you struggle with burnout and feel as though your always pouring from an empty cup?
Self-proclaimed people pleaser? Maybe you don’t even realize that so much of how you operate is to avoid conflict.

Are your own needs neglected out of fear of sitting with other’s discomfort? Living this way for long enough causes us to lose Self trust. My goal is to help you come back to your inner knowing. To find the confidence to express yourself with ease and clarity. To feel rooted in your own truth and find your way back to that place.

To live the fullest expression of your life.

I value authenticity, honesty, spiritual connection, intuition, humor, confidence. I support clients to reach those states within them self.

I help clients reconnect to their own inner knowing.

You’ll find your confidence, creativity, connection, clarity, and self compassion.

STUCK IN THE SAME PATTERNS

I work well with people who are ready to dive in and who are craving more depth, self trust, and a freedom to live life fully.

Many clients come to me tired of living with anxiety, self doubt, insecurities, and a tendency to people please.

Therapies I offer include EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These approaches to healing help address the root cause and focus more on healing subconscious patterns as opposed to analyzing your way through them. Traditional talk therapy can only go so far.

NAVIGATING MOTHERHOOD

Maybe you’ve just entered motherhood. And you’re noticing yourself repeat patterns you promised yourself you wouldn’t in parenthood. I also LOVE helping mothers (and dads too) navigate the massive identity shift that happens in becoming a parent.

Birth can also be traumatic. So can conception and pregnancy. I’m passionate about helping women process these experiences and integrate them into a healing story.

WANTING MORE FREEDOM, EASE, & PEACE

My hope is to help you show up as your unapologetic self.

Maybe from the outside your life looks good yet you find yourself wondering why you still feel unhappy? Are you your own toughest critic? You’d like to be able to enjoy the life you’ve created but you feel like there’s still something blocking you from that joy or freedom to be who you really are.

LET’S CREATE MORE EASE IN YOUR LIFE

How I can help

HOLISTIC APPROACH

I’m a little woo-woo and also a bit of a skeptic

Sound contradictory? That’s because it is.
Life’s full of contradictions.

My goal is to help you learn to live in the gray, the messy, & to find peace in the in-between spaces of life.

I look at the whole person. Body, Mind, & Spirit

TRAUMA-INFORMED HEALING

I specialize in two trauma informed modalities:

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

and Internal Family Systems (IFS) or “parts”work

I find that the blend of EMDR and IFS can really propel healing and tap into the body and emotions in a profound way.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy is another tool in my tool box. Though not for everyone, if this is something you’re called towards, there’s more about KAP below.

KETAMINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY (KAP)

How it works

  • Starting the Conversation

We’ll start with an introductory call to determine appropriateness of treatment. Next, we’ll meet for a few preparation sessions. Consider these like therapy sessions where we are building on your intentions, hopes, & goals. We’re discussing where you’ve been and where you want to go.

  • Embarking on the Journey

During the preparation phase, I will refer you to a medical provider who will offer the prescription. You will come in office for the medicine session which will last about 3 hours. During this time you’ll have your inward journey with the medicine. Typically you’ll be lying down, wearing an eye mask, and listening to one of my curated playlists. I will be with you the entire time & there will be some processing afterwards.

  • Integrating the Experience

Following the medicine session, we’ll meet for integration sessions. These sessions are an equally important part in the process. Integration includes discussing your the insights, realizations, emotions, memories and perspective shifts that came from your journey. We’ll talk about ways you can continue to carry this experience into your life, emotionally, relationally, physically, and spiritually.

LEARNING TO LEAD WITH SELF TRUST

Hi, I’m Holly

I like to say I’m human first, therapist second.

So much of therapy is about the personal connection.

Here’s a little more about me and what inspired me to become a therapist. A little vulnerable but that’s what we’re here for, right?

Growing up in the OC bubble, I never felt like I fully fit in. Of course I wanted to belong, so I became good at masking and looking like I had it all together.
My childhood and early adulthood had grit. I felt shame about that.
So I learned to hide it.

My entry into life looked different than those around me. By my teen years I had already been through a lot. I was forced to grow up quickly. In many ways now, I believe that’s one of my superpowers. But at the time, I just wanted to be an innocent kid.
From the outside, it may have looked like I had it all. But inside I felt alone. I was craving to be really seen. And for my depth to be understood.

This is where I began to second guess myself. I learned how to mask, how to achieve, and how to live a double life of holding it together and performing and then avoiding and distracting.

Unmuting parts of myself that I was hiding has been my own unlearning. I will help you do the same.

Eventually,
I became the therapist I wish I would’ve had.

Through my own healing, I’ve learned to be more authentic and honest. I’m more rooted in my intuition and more confident in my truth, even if it looks different than what other people want or expect. I care less about what others think and there’s such a freedom in that.

And I’m still human. Motherhood has also been one of the most expansive and mind altering experiences of my life. I am a proud mom to two little ones. Becoming a mother has rocked my world in the hardest and best ways. It’s taught me SO much about myself and I know it’s only just the beginning.

I believe we are all here on this Earth to learn, to love, to grow and to heal.
I’m right here on this journey with you.

With Love & Respect,
Holly

Common Questions

  • You are welcome here.

First, there are SO many different types of therapies and therapists out there. Maybe you’ve even had a bad experience with a therapist in the past.   (I’m so sorry if this is the case)

A lot of times traditional talk therapy or more cognitive therapies can only go so far. This is why I’m so passionate about offering alternative therapeutic approaches that work with the body and the subconscious (where trauma is stored).  The approaches I use can help heal by accessing material that may not be readily available through talk therapy or cognitive models.

I’d love to work with you on getting unstuck and hopefully trying something different.

  • Typically I would expect the first session to be a getting to know you, some history taking, and setting goals and reviewing your intentions for therapy. I may also share about some of the ways I practice, including some explanation of “parts” or IFS, the EMDR process (if this is something you’re curious about), or even guide you through a body awareness practices. You can think of it like a meditation.
First sessions can look a lot of ways. I’m not a one size fits all kind of therapist.

  • Both!

My office is located in Costa Mesa, near Newport Beach and Irvine.

Located in the same shopping center as Coffee Dose and Irvine Ranch Market, near the 73 freeway.

    I also offer virtual sessions.

If you are outside of the area, we can still work together virtually throughout CA.

  • My rate is $200 for a 50 minute session

    I do not accept insurance.
If you have a PPO plan with out of network benefits, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance. If you have ‘out of network benefits’ for individual psychotherapy, you maybe get reimbursement.

    FOR KAP:

KAP journey sessions are $600 and scheduled for 3 hours *

Preparation and integration sessions are 50 minute sessions at $200

If you are seeking KAP primarily and we aren’t already working together for therapy, I ask for a minimum of 3 preparation sessions before embarking on a journey & at least 1 integration session

*for KAP the prescriber fee is separate

I will refer you to a prescriber who is a colleague I work closely with.

  • I offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in partnership with a medical prescriber.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a holistic modality in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to help those appropriate for treatment to experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustained improvement in symptoms. I take on the psychotherapy portion of the experience, while the medical team supports you on all medical aspects. This includes determining eligibility, developing a custom treatment plan, prescribing the medicine and monitoring outcomes. Below is more information about KAP to help you navigate if it may be a good fit for you.

The effects of ketamine, which most patients find pleasant, last for approximately 60 minutes. These effects can make you feel “far from” your body, and facilitate shifts in perception that can often feel expansive in nature. Your motor and verbal abilities will be reduced, so you’ll be lying down in a comfortable position during the experience. Once these effects subside, we’ll spend the remainder of our appointment giving you space to process and discuss your experience. While it may feel hard to articulate what happens during the experience, people feel like the insights gained are clear and deeply felt.

Ketamine is a legal, safe and effective medicine used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety and PTSD. Ketamine has rapidly- acting antidepressant and mood-enhancing effects, which can begin to take effect within 1-2 hrs. after treatment. It works by blocking the brain’s NMDA receptors as well as by stimulating AMPA receptors, which are thought to help form new synaptic connections and boost neural circuits that regulate stress and mood. Ketamine has also been shown to enhance overall neuroplasticity for lasting symptom improvement.

Ketamine can be administered in a variety of ways, including IV infusion, intramuscular injection, via nasal spray and using sublingual lozenges. In my work, and in collaboration with the prescriber, the sublingual lozenges are used.
